I became interested in Massage Therapy after having an injury as a dance major at Columbia College Chicago. After many physical therapy treatments, acupuncture, and massage therapy I found an interest in massage as it gave me the most relief. I then started receiving massage regularly and was amazed how therapeutic these sessions were. I wanted to start training and change my career as I found my calling. I graduated as an Exceptional Honor Student from Advanced Anatomy Massage Academy May 23, 2003. I began practicing in Chicago; I moved to the East Coast and started a wellness center in Mount Holly NJ where I worked for the last 6 years (2003-2009). Dee Baker has taken over the wellness center when I relocated to Chicago IL. In Chicago I practice massage therapy at corporate offices, spa parties, and events. I am a Reiki practitioner/master. I treat each client as an individual and incorporate different techniques to accommodate everyone.
I began taking Pilates and I realized physically and mentally how beneficial the classes are. I thought this would be great to teach my clients with back issues and injuries, so I became a certified instructor in 2005. I teach all levels of Pilates and incorporate weights and balls with my classes. Last year I discovered Zumba and was a huge fan. It's a high energy Latin fitness class that is not only fun it's an awesome workout. I have been teaching zumba for over a year and was working in Yoga centers, LA fitness and Mazi Dance Fitness, Chicago. You can find more information about zumba by going to their website zumba.com.
My Chicago location is Windy City Wellness: 1811 West North Ave, Suite 202, Chicago Il 60622
